History of the MP5
Initially developed in 1964, the HK MP5 9mm became the standard by which all submachine guns were judged. A new concept for the time which could trace its lineage to the World War 2 era Stg 44. The MP5 was quickly adopted by over forty nations's militaries, in addition to police, and private security forces. Combining superior reliability, accuracy, and an exceptional manual of arms, it achieved legendary status when it was used by the British SAS (Special Air Service) to rescue hostages held during the Iranian Embassy siege.

Pakistan Ordnance Factory: Exclusively imported by Silver Rhino Group, the POF MP5 features a steel lower and is chambered in 9mm.
MKE (Turkey): Known the AP5, the Turkish manufactured variant is available in standard pistol configuration in addition to a "K" model.

Latest Review:One of the most recent additions to the US civilian market is the POF-MP5 pistol which is manufactured by Pakistan Ordnance Factories, and is exclusively imported by Silver Rhino Group which is based in Sarasota Florida. An exciting addition to any collection, it boasts a proven military track record, accurate construction to original military models, and pricing below what Heckler & Koch offers to the consumer. The POF MP5 is currently only chambered in 9mm Parabellum, and features a durable, baked black paint finish. As offered by Silver Rhino Group, it ships with two (2) POF manufactured steel 30 rd. magazines, nylon carry case, and an instruction manual. The sample POF MP5 appeared to be well constructed, and comes standard with such features as hooded aperture sight, durable synthetic furniture, and a ordnance grade, hammer forged barrel complete with the famous tri-lug mount which can readily accept accessories such as a flash hider or suppressor.
